Earl Gillespie will probably always be known best as the radio voice of the Milwaukee Braves. Gillespie handled the radio games during the great times of the Braves' years in Milwaukee.
Gillespie was much more than just a baseball announcer, however, also doing the Packers, Badgers and other events. For many of the years, he also served as sports director of Channel 6 in Milwaukee. Gillespie also became known as an emcee for many events and returned to Milwaukee to help emcee the closing ceremony for County Stadium.
