CELEBRATING ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE

Greatness is rare. It seems almost other-worldly. If we are lucky enough to see it, we know immediately we are witnessing something special. It wins championships. It sets records. And then breaks the ones it set. 

The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame preserves Wisconsin’s rich history of athletic excellence, celebrates the values and virtues of sports and honors the principles of teamwork, leadership and character.

The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Walkway presented by Network Health, located on North Vel R. Phillips Avenue in Milwaukee's downtown sports and entertainment district, is a celebration of individuals honored in the Hall of Fame. Inductee are immortalized with a bronze plaque showcased along the walk. Recent walkway improvements include the addition of hanging banners on the east side of the Panther Arena, new signage, and a digital LED board which showcases videos celebrating Hall of Fame inductees and great moments in Wisconsin sports on the southeast corner of the arena. 

Meet the 2025 Inductees

Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Ernie Johnson, Jr., known for his work on "Inside the NBA," and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Thomas, a former offensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns, will be inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame at its 75th Anniversary Induction Ceremony.
